These terms apply to all orders placed with Stockton Memorials Ltd and Darlington Memorials Ltd.
By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully and contact us if you have any questions.
Stockton Memorials Ltd and Darlington Memorials Ltd are memorial masonry businesses offering headstones, inscriptions, restorations, and related services.

We provide:
Memorial headstones, kerb sets, plaques, and cremation stones
Bespoke design and inscription services
Installation/fixing of memorials in cemeteries and churchyards
Renovation and additional inscriptions on existing memorials
Related aftercare and maintenance services
All services are subject to availability and any local authority or cemetery regulations.
All quotations are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
Orders can be placed in person, by phone, or in writing.
A signed order form or written confirmation is required before work begins.
Any changes to an order must be confirmed in writing and may incur additional charges.
Prices include VAT (where applicable) unless otherwise stated.
A minimum deposit of [e.g. 50%] is required at the time of order.
Full payment is required before installation or delivery, unless otherwise agreed.
We accept payment by bank transfer, debit card, or credit card.
Title to goods does not pass to the customer until full payment is received.
Some cemeteries or church authorities charge fees for permits or installation.
We will advise you of such fees in advance, and they may be payable to us or directly to the authority.
We will apply for permits on your behalf once the deposit is paid and order is confirmed.
Estimated completion and installation times will be provided at order.
Delays can occur due to weather, material availability, or cemetery restrictions.
We are not liable for delays outside our control, but we will keep you informed.
You will receive a layout proof for approval prior to engraving.
It is your responsibility to check all spellings, dates, and wording carefully.
Once approved, any errors not brought to our attention are the customer’s responsibility and may incur correction fees.
Our memorials are made from natural stone. Variations in colour, texture, and markings are normal and not considered defects.
Samples or photographs are for guidance only.
We offer a warranty of [e.g. 10 years] against defects in materials and workmanship.
This does not cover damage caused by weather, ground movement, vandalism, or cemetery maintenance.
We recommend periodic cleaning and maintenance — please ask us for guidance or services.
As memorials are custom-made, cancellation after approval may result in forfeiture of the deposit.
Refunds are at our discretion and will reflect work already completed and costs incurred.
Where a refund is due, we aim to process it within 14 days.
Our total liability (excluding death or injury) is limited to the price paid for the memorial.
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses.
We respect your privacy. Personal data is handled in accordance with our [Privacy Policy].
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us and we will aim to resolve it promptly and fairly. You may also contact the National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM) if further support is needed.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
